Hawaii is the 50th and most recent state of the USA. It is located in Polynesia, in the central Pacific Ocean. The flag of Hawaii includes 8 alternating horizontal bands of white, red, and blue (top-to-bottom) – this pattern is continual. In the canton, there is a Union Jack remnant of the British Empire's influence. The flag was adopted in 1845.
