Guernsey is an island in the English Channel that, along with Alderney and Sark, forms the Bailiwick of Guernsey, a Crown dependency. The flag of Guernsey resembles the flag of England: it includes the red Saint George's Cross on the white background and a gold cross with widened limbs that represents William the Bastard, Duke of Normandy. The flag was adopted in 1985.
