The flag of South Africa has a pall (Y-shaped) design. The pall of the flag is green and has a white exterior border. It overlaps two horizontal bands placed on the top and the bottom sides of the flag. On the hoist-side there is a black isosceles triangle based on the left border of the flag. The triangle is bordered yellow. The flag was adopted in 1994.
